Here is my 1997 Kawasaki mojave 250cc quad . I got it about 4 years ago and have only rode it three times. I recently took it all apart and re painted the frame. Put on new alluminum rims, new rear tires, new body (except the hood), Jardine alluminum race bumper in front and grab bar in back, and a new "more power" front and rear sprocket set with a new chain, New swing arm bushings, and new carrier bushings,new thermostat and a K&N air filter, and a DG race exhust. The seat was recently recovered but does have a small rip now, about an inch long. This quad has a twist throttle kit and for some reason when I got it it had a carb from a 250cc dirt bike so it is not the original carb but works good. There are no rear brakes, they were gone when I bought it, I guess for racing purposes is what I was told. There are some of the rear brake parts in a box that goes with it, I think everything other than the caliper, but im not sure. There is also an original carb(not sure if it is good or not), spare tires for the front, extra hood(red), and some other stuff in the box too, just little misc. pieces. I put about $1100 in new parts on it. It was stolen from me about a year ago and when I got it back it was about 5 different colors and the body was trashed, thats why I repainted and redid everything. When it was taken they took out the key switch and messed with the wires to get it to start. I didnt bother putting a new switch on because they are useless anyways. I just sat there and tested all the wires and pluged them in untill the kill switch and lights worked. Also the cooling fan was broken when I got it back, the dealer wanted $400 for a new one so I used a 8 inch electric fan with a shroud from summit racing. It works great. I have fixed everthing on it except the shifter shaft. The splines are partially rounded over so it would have to be replaced, unless you have any other ideas. This is a great quad, very fast for only being a 250cc, it will keep up with my friends polaris 500cc sportsman. This is for sale locally as well so I reserve the right to end bidding early.
