This is a 1968 Mustang GT Fastback 302, four speed. The car is being sold for the widow of the original owner. This has been a California, one owner car since being purchased on May 31, 1968 from Galpin Motors in Van Nuys California. The owner bought it his first week back from Viet Nam. We have the original purchase contract and option sheet that came with the car. The Mustang was running at the time the owner became ill about one year ago. He did begin to work on the dashboard and thus the front passenger seat is removed, as is the heater assembly, but both come with the car. There is also a new dashboard top that comes with the car. This Fastback is very original and very straight with no visible rust other than on the bumpers. The only modifications we know of are a Holly carburetor, headers and a heavy duty clutch. The car was repainted at some point but in the same original red as new. The paint is now heavily oxidized but again the body is very straight with no visible rust and it appears all trim pieces are in place.  The body and interior appear to be absolutely stock.  This Mustang does not have air conditioning.

This is a perfect Fastback for a partial or complete restoration.

I have been ashed by several bidders about under carriage rust. I do not have the aid of a hoist but but visiually looking under the car and at the floor pans there is only surface rust and no major rust damage to this car. All four wheel wells are free of rust.
