Up for auction is a 1967 ?Eleanor?.  This car started out as a 1967 Fastback 390 4-speed.  It now has a stock 302 2-barrel carburetor with 4-speed transmission.  This car runs great.  We have a 1967 390 to go in it, but the car runs so good, we just have never put the other motor in it.  We have had the car for about 3 years.  I believe that the odometer is in excess of the normal limits. The car has front disc brakes with Shelby wheels and B F Goodrich tires.  The Eleanor kit is not just bolted on.  Instead, it was fiber glassed and blended in.  It looks great.  The interior is red and in good condition.  It has the hood pins, Shelby grill, and Shelby gas cap.  The car has air shocks.  The floor pans are solid and the car has no rust.  When we got the car, it still had the original 4-speed shifter, but it was so loose that it was difficult to find the gears.  I installed a new Hurst shifter.  It works like it should now.  All the gauges work except for the clock.  The car still has the original radio (AM) and it works.  The exhaust is new with ?Eleanor? side pipes.  The rear end is a 9-inch Ford.  The brakes are new.  The glass is good.  This car might not be fast, but it is so much fun to drive.  It gets more attention than you want sometimes.  We drive this car as a daily driver.  Therefore, it does have a few road chips.  The body looks great.  There is a place on the driver?s side next to the air vent that has some trash in the clear coat, which can be buffed out.  When we got the car you could feel the painted stripe, so we had it sanded and re-cleared.  That is when the trash got in the clear coat.  I just have not taken the time to take it back to the paint shop. 

If you want to be the center of attention, this car is for you.  In fact, I recently saw one of the ?Eleanor? cars from ?Gone in 60 Seconds? at a museum in Gatlinburg, and this car looks much better.  Please come see the car if you are in this area.  We live in Dry Fork, Pittsylvania County, Virginia.
