My origional intention was to retore this car to be a nice looking daily driver. I do not have room for this car, the city forced me to put this car in storage 3 years ago. Now my health has changed to the point were I cannot work on it. When I first started working on this car I put a lot of new parts on it. New parts list- Remanufactured cylinder heads, fuel pump, all heater hoses, upper and lower radiator hoses, thermostat, water pump, radiator, radiator cap, spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap & rotor, exhaust manifold gaskets. It has fresh oil & oil filter & new antifreez. it has about 7 gallons of gas in it.

The origional owner hit something underneath the front end and it damaged the lower radiator support and damaged the radiator. There is a small crumple zone before the engine cradle and behind the sway bar supports. This area was straightened out enough to use it but it could use a little more support with a mig or tig welder. The structural integrity of the remainder of the car is very good. The frame is not twisted or bent, the car is straight and sits nice and level. The car overheated and the car was left here in Wisconsin many years ago, it was origionally from South Dakota. I bought it from a guy about 4 years ago here in Wisconsin. I would probably be safe in saying this car has not been driven for at least 15 years if not more. I drove it for the first time about 2 miles to the storage shed where it is right now. I know that all the brakes need to be gone through but they worked fine when I relocated it.

I welded in new lower radiator support using 1.5" angle iron it works fine. It has no exhaust pipes installed yet.The Y-Pipe is no longer available for this 2.8 litre engine. I purchased a good quality Y-Pipe for it, it fits nicely around the tranny. There is one 6" extension pipe hooked up to the manifold that can be used as a model for new ones and then weld them to the new Y-pipe. The power steering pump is not hooked up yet, I purchased a nice pump with pulley and bracket from a guy in California last year. The front sway bar brackets were missing, you can see that I hooked them up with the 1.5 angle iron in the pictures.

The back of the car actually looks nice, I'll have to go back out to storage soon to add a better picture of it.

The black spots you see in the engine compartment is mostly grease & dirt.

The car has a 5"hole above the brake pedal around the windshield wiper transmission motor area. this in turn leaked water onto the floor below and there is also a hole there on the left side of the floor. The hole in the floor does not look to hard to repair. The rest of the floors and undercarriage is in very good condition. The remainder of the body is in good condition. The door hinges work fine. I havent done anything to the body of this car yet.

The rims on it now are off from a 1991 Mustang GT. The extra set of aluminum wheels are 14".

The car dosent have a battery but I can put one in it to start it up. It can be driven onto a trailer or car dolley.

The interior upholstery is all dry rotted seats included. The windshield is cracked but not loose or leaking.

I will be adding information on this car throughout the week as I remember things.

This would be a fun father and son project.

This is somewhat of a rare breed mustang, they only used the 2.8 liter V6 in the 1979 year. This engine is commonly used in the Bronc II's and older Ranger pickups.

I have approximately $1,000.00 into this car.

Waning : Be it known that this baby needs a lot of work.

Have fun!

I also have a spare 2.8 litre engine. It is supposed to be a jasper rebuild with 38,000.0 miles on it. It has been sitting on my garage floor for years. It has a lot of surface rust on it but I'm sure its in good shape internally.

On Sep-08-08 at 15:56:23 PDT, seller added the following information:

The dash pad is missing and the radio area is messed up. The transmission has a small leak, it appears to be the modulator, it's about a 15-20 minute job if your healhty which I am not. Autozone modulator is 12 or 16 dollars depending on which one you have.

On Sep-09-08 at 05:24:23 PDT, seller added the following information:

I made it back to storage for the extra pictures and check a few things. Both door hinges latches and window cranks all work very good with no sloppyness. There is notable surface rust on the undercarriage around the gas tank area where the farm grass grew up into it. Inside the trunk area behind the back wheels is in really good shape, this is where a lot of them would rust out from winter salt. The mustang rims are 16" not 15" that I have stated earlier.

I just got the spare engine out and added the pics. There is a nice clean intake manifold and several extra engine parts to go with it.
