Up for auction is this restored, mint condition, MATCHING NUMBERS, low mileage Boss 302.  It has been meticulously restored to MCA Concours Trailered specifications.  

This pictures will speak for themselves.  Brand new Goodyear Polyglas GT tires with zero miles on them.  Original wheels, hub caps and trim rings.  The glass is all Carlite and original to the car.  The interior is original and in beautiful condition.      The dash pad is also original and not cracked.  NUMBERS MATCHING engine, as is evidenced in the photo of the VIN pad on the engine.  All original smog equipment including original hoses, not reproductions.  The original rev limiter that came with the car is still there.  Original vacuum hoses and the original alligator-textured PCV hoses.  Original heater hoses are there as well.  Hearst close ratio 4-speed transmission with traction lok differential.  Interior is the decor group with wood-grain trim and includes an AM radio and tachometer and trip odometer with working clock.  There is a small split on driver's door panel next to the door latch and a small split in the bottom portion of the driver's seat back support.  These were not replaced because they are the original pieces to the car, but can be repaired.

The engine runs strong without any problems.  It has never been rebuilt but has had the valves periodically adjusted.   All lights and switches work correctly.  NOS Boss 302 stripes were used in the restoration.  Check out the night-time photo to see the correct 3M reflective tape.  The undercarriage has been meticulously detailed for MCA trailered competition, as can be seen in the photos.  Any factory undercoating that was found was left on the car.  MCA approved exhaust and space saver spare tire.  The painted blackout stripes and other black painted portions of the car are the correct semi-flat shade of black.  (I have NOS upper and lower shift boots that have not yet been put on the car.)

This car has won two (2) Glass Apple awards at the Watkins Glenn Vintage Car Races and Show.  If you know anything about this award, you know that this indicates that this is a pristine show car.  You will not be disappointed.

I wanted to add some information that I have been asked about the car.  It still has its original front spoiler, which is in excellent shape.  It is very different from the reproduction spoilers.  It has its original exhaust manifold heat shield which is on the car, but tough to see in the pictures. All the rubber ball joint grease retainers are original with the Ford engineering numbers clearly on them, but one has a small split.  The suspension pieces are not painted with the exception of the 2 tie rods, as they are all clean metal, including the spindles, with just a WD-40 coating for protection.  The fan blade is the correct B identified blade.  The coil is original as is the starter solonoid and distributor.  Reproduction battery-not filled and only for show- and belts.  Very  nice original windshield washer bottle.  Hose from the air cleaner to the oil cap is a correctly marked original in addition to the original PVC and heater hoses-yellow striped.  All original brake and gas lines with original tank.  Tach and speedometer as well as the clock all work properly.  It even has the Reverse Lock-out linkage which won't let you take the key out of the ignition unless the shifter is in the reverse position.  Clutch is tight and brakes are excellent, its a very nice driving car.  Radiator is correct with the original rubber tube and original fan shroud.  Oil pan has correct engineering # stamped into the bottom.  Front and rear sway bars, the rear mounted above the axle for a '70.  Hope this takes care of some of your questions.
