Out of state buyers are not required to pay tax, title, or license in the state of Texas. However, the customer is responsible for registration and fees for the vehicle in their home state. In 1935, Franks sons, Carl and Woody Sewell bought the Ford dealership in Odessa, Texas and sold their entire 21 car inventory in one weekend. Ron Sewell, Woodys son followed the family business and now Collin Sewell, his son, is carrying on the legacy.
