When you place a bid on a vehicle, you are entering into a legal and binding contract to purchase the vehicle.  This arrangement is outlined in the eBay User Agreement.

Bidders must be 18 years or age or older.

All bidders must have their finances pre-approved or have cash on hand to finalize the transaction on any of our auctions on eBay Motors.

Bid retrations are not allowed, nor will they be recognized within twenty-four hours  of auction's end.  "Auction End" or "Auction Ending" as used herein is defined as the earlier of the submission of a "Buy it Now" bid or the expiration of the auction's stated time limit.

Within twenty-four hours of auction end, winning bidder must pay a non-refundable deposit of $500 via Paypal, Cashier's Check, Money Order or Major Credit Card.  If the deposit is not made within twenty-four hours, Covert Ford Austin reserves the right to re-list the vehicle, sell it to the next highest bidder, or sell it otherwise.

Within seven days of auction end, the buyer sends certified funds for the remaining balance due (if paying cash).  If financing has been arranged, Covert Ford Austin will send all the required paperwork to the financial institution, and the financial institution will send us certified funds for the remaining balance due.  When we receive funds from the buyer or through the established financial institution, the buyer may take delivery of their vehicle.

Fee and Tax Information:

If you live in Texas, you must pay 6.25% of the sales price for state sales tax.  Out-of-state buyers may register and pay applicable taxes in their own state.

All buyers are required to pay Texas Vehicle Inventory Tax (VIT) of .1816% of the purchase price.  (The VIT is based on the county in Texas where the dealership in located.   Covert Ford Austin is located in Travis County.)

All buyers are subject to a $225 fee which covers documentation, title, inspection, transfer, registration & title copies, and vehicle prep.

Shipping:

Buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping of the vehicle.  Covert Ford Austin can help arrange shipping at the buyer's cost, if desired.

We provide free shuttle service from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport for buyers picking up their vehicle at our dealership.
