Here we have a project car that has become rare and very difficult to find, but will make an exceptional restoration. This car is the third in line for my current projects and I need the room in my storage area so I'm letting her go.    As you can see in the photos, the car is not a daily driver and needs restoration and please understand this fact before bidding as your bid is a contract to purchase. This is believed to be a Numbers Matching 1970 Mustang Mach 1 project car that was orginally yellow as you can see in some of the pictures. The 351 Cleveland motor appears original based upon the numbers; 0B27 - 0= 1970, B = February, 27 = build date (Ford did not match motors to VIN's during this timeframe and it is generally accepted that a motor build date within 3 months of the car build date is numbers matching).  The motor does not run but should be rebuilt anyway for a correct restoration.  The motor holds anti-freeze and oil and no signficant leaks are present so I believe it to be solid. All rubber and hoses will need replaced. The front fenders are solid with a little rust you can see in the picture.  The hood needs some work but is worth the effort as it is an original Shaker hood however the shaker air cleaner is not there.  Even if all the sheetmetal were replaced though, the hood should be repaired as you simply cannot find original shaker hoods.  The front floor boards will require replacement and probably the whole floorpanbut the frame rails and trunk are very sound.  Within the engine compartment, the fender aprons will need replaced but surprisingly enough, the shock towers are very solid with no apparent rust or holes.  All of the glass is good with no cracks.  The interior will need to be replaced but the front seat frames are good, the instrument panel and clock are both in great shape as you can see in the pictures and take a look at the rare fold-down rear seat; the leather only needs a good cleaning with no rips.  Make no mistake, this is a project car and will need lots of work but a very good foundation.  Please feel free to ask any questions specific about the car.  Buy it now or the highest bidder over the reserve wins the car.  Buyer is responsible for shipping. 

Update:  According to Mustang Forums that have helped, it turns out that basedupon a 1968 Federal law, car dealers did in fact match motors to VINs however, I am unable to locate the VIN to verify it is a numbers match.  The only numbers I can positivly locate are the build dates which are identified above.  Just want to be honest about this...winner may or may not find a number's matching car but I can say the motor is a Feb 27 1970 motor.  Thanks for looking.
