FOR SALE:  1973 Ford Mustang Mach I with original 351 Cleveland 2V engine and C-6 automatic transmission.  The engine and transmission were completely rebuilt to factory specs 4,500 miles ago.  The following items are new on the vehicle:  Battery, ignition switch, voltage regulator, harmonic balancer, transmission mount, EGR valve/gasket, distributor, starter, belts, fuel pump, radiator hoses, oil pressure switch, heater core, air cooler condenser, U-joints, trunk mat, air drier, radiator, air and transmission cooler, spark plugs and wires, dash pad, brake master cylinder and complete new dual exhaust from the manifolds back with turbo mufflers. The carburetor was also rebuilt. The driveshaft has also been balanced.

The air conditioner has been converted to current regulations and puts out ice-cold air.  The chrome Magnum 500?s and tires are in excellent condition.  The vehicle has deluxe black interior with Sebring (silver) knit inserts. Both interior deluxe door panels are in great shape. The over head light is new. All gauges look new and work great. The center console is also in great condition. Both front and back ashtrays are there and look good. The door tag reads:  Body 63R, color 2B, trim GA, trans U axle K DSO 54. 

The following are items that I am aware of which need attention:  There is rust (through) both rear quarter panels.  There are small areas of surface rust in various locations.  The floor pans appeared to be in great shape when the new dual exhaust was installed.  The paint is faded in places and the vehicle would need to be painted to restore its finish to factory condition.  I installed a new CD player, but still have the original AM/FM stereo (non-working).  The radio antenna is telescoping, but I have the original.  The carpet is in fair/good condition.  The driver?s seat has the normal wear and tear on it but the back seats are in perfect condition.  The headliner needs to be replaced.  I have a new headliner still in the box, but did not get around to installing it since I have decided to sell the car.   

The mechanical portion of the vehicle is in perfect running condition.  I had planned on fixing it up to give to my 16 year-old son to be a daily-driven car.  I found out that getting classic car insurance (full-coverage) for a 16 year-old to drive the car every day was impossible.  I drive the car regularly with no concerns about its mechanical performance.  The car receives a lot of attention as-is and could very easily be restored to pristine condition.
