1966 Mustang convertible. Color is Sahara Beige, which is the original color. Car has been repainted 15 years ago. no dents or scratches anywhere, a very good paint job,(it was not repainted under the hood or trunk lid). The only rust the car ever had was two quarter size holes behind the rear wheels. The complete quarters were replaced with ford factory panels. The chrome was also replated. My dad had the undercarriage under coated to prevent rust. The car has always been garaged. Purchased from the original owner who had a stroke and could not drive it anymore. My father or I have owned it for 18 years. My dad also replaced the convertible top ( the original was in perfect condition)  with a light brown cloth top from material for a mercedes. It does look good and is quieter at speed than the original. Interior was also replaced at this time. I have also added an original console and mustang deluxe (GT) steering wheel. The engine is a 289 C-code( 2 Barrel carb). It is original along with the 4-speed transmission. All of the drivetrain is original and has never been rebuilt. The car has a few slight oil leaks and will smoke abit when it is first started. It does not consume any oil otherwise. The only other mechanical problem is that the gas guage is not accurate. I have added reproduction Mustang styled steel wheels, have the original hubcaps and the steering wheel. I also added power steering from another 66 mustang. It has manual drum brakes. The radiator is not original along with belts,hoses, etc. The stereo was replaced with a kenwood am/fm cassette player made to fit in the dash without cutting it up. The door panels were cut by the original owner for speakers, 2 approx. 4" holes in each lower panel. This is a very nice solid original car. The exterior color and the convertible top make it a very unique Mustang. Payment in cash please. $500 deposit in 5 days (check ok).
