1970 mustang convertible deluxe

This is a 1970 Mustang Convertible with Deluxe interior. It has 302 2V and C4 transmission. To the best of my knowledge this is a numbers matching Mustang. It has all original body panels with the exception of the hood. This mustang was virtually rust free when I found it. The only rusted areas observed was a small spot size of a quarter in the passenger fender that has been repaired, A small spot in the lower back corner of the passenger door, this was repaired before painting but the repair was not sufficient as the paint has cracked slightly in this area. There was a hole in the floor pan behind the drivers seat this has been patched for now, my plan was to replace with a replacement pan that can be purchased from the local parts house for about 35.00. The lower qtr panels had been repaired before I aquired car and they look very good. The previous owner indicated that the motor has been rebuilt and I tend to believe that it was since it runs great has plenty of power and uses no oil between oil changes. Car is currently licensed and has passed Virginia State inspection.

The following has been done within the last Year

New paint ( Amateur job but looks great from 5-10 feet)

New hood

New Weatherstripping for entire car

New radiator, water pump and thermostat

New gas tank fuel sending unit and fuel pump

Motor Tuned up (Wires, Plugs, Dist cap/ rotor, Points, Timing chain and gears)

New brakes

New heater blower motor

New battery, New Battery tray ( forgot to mentioned this was rusted also)

New belts and hoses

New bumpers front and back

New gas cap

New top, Rear window, well liner and boot cover

New seat covers front and back, new deluxe door panels, interior qtr panels recovered, new seat backs and new carpet.

New windshield

Bolt in glass and hardware ( had glue in glass)

And other small misc items to numerous to mention

What the car needs, Keep in mind that this is not a show car it is a daily driver but would be a great solid base for a show car.

Needs new dash pad and a couple of small interior items, with the exception of the dash pad should cost less that 150.00 to complete.

Brakes have developed a vibration when braking ( think that the drums may need turning, But I was planning to upgrade to disc brakes so I will include a set of DISC BRAKE SPINDLES with the car.

Tires should be balanced and front alignment done, if you are planning on keeping these wheels and tires on car,. No real problem just a slight vibration @ 53mph.

Doors need slight adjusments did not get the exactly right when I rebuilt the hinges.

The mount for the drivers side mirror is broken, A replacement in very good condition will be included with car.

Other than this for a driver the car is in very good condition and can be driven as is, The tires are in great condition and the hub caps are original.

Since this is a older used car it is sold as is with no warranty, I have described this car as accurately as possible but I encourage all to inspect prior to bidding. Any questions please ask and I will answer as soon as possible. I also have a 1969 mach 1 hood (in fair/good condition) and Hood scoop with turn signals ( in good / very good condition) that I will offer to winning bidder at reasonable cost. If bidding exceeds 250.00 of reserve I will include free of charge.

The reserve on this car is set very low, I will not disclose the reserve but I will say that it is Thousands less than the Low retail value of 14750. I will consider offers and will end auction if I recieve an acceptable offer. I also reserve the right to end the auction early as car is for sale locally.
