This auction is for a 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible.  This Mustang has gone through a thourough restoration by a professional restoration shop.  Please note the specifics on this vehicle:

Body/Paint:

The previous owner stated that he had owned this Mustang since 1980 and the title verified this to be true.  This owner had started a rotisserie restoration on the vehicle; however, had lost interest and finances to complete the restoration.  The vehicle was purchased from this owner approximately 1 1/2 years ago.  The vehicle then underwent a thourough restoration at that time.

When the vehicle was purchased, most of the metal work had been completed.  Our shop went over the repairs and addressed any metalwork that had not been addressed by the previous owner.  All of the body lines are very nice as you will see in the photographs.  There is no rust to be found on this vehicle.

The vehicle was refinished in a Dupont base coat/ clear coat Candy Apple Red.  Please note the vehicle is an original Raven Black vehicle.  This was discovered after the vehicle had been refinished in the Candy Apple Red.  The paint is stunning with a deep red finish and gloss.  The Mustang was disassembled to complete the refinish.  There is as much detail to the undercarriage and the engine compartment as to the rest of the vehicle.

Trim:

The convertible top is new as well as the rear plastic curtain and the well liner.  The top has only been put down a few times as to retain that new, wrinkle free look.  It does have a power top and the top functions as it should.  All of the rubber seals on the doors, windows, trunk are also new.

The bumpers as well as all of the external chrome and stainless are also all new.  The exterior emblems were all replaced as well. 

Interior:

The carpet is new and the seats have all been reupholstered.  The door panels, sunvisors, kick panles, sill plates and the dash pad have all been replaced.  The interior, like the rest of the vehicle has been completely restored.  The car has a NOS console base.  The car has a factory original AM radio which plays like new.  The interior was put back the to the factory correct black color.  There are no defects to the interior of the vehicle.

Suspension/ Brakes:

The complete front end had been gone through and components replaced or refurbished as needed.  The rear end has also been gone through and replaced or refurbished as needed.  New rear leaf springs and shocks were installed.  The manual brakes had been restored front and rear as well.

The vehicle does have power steering.  The vehicle drives and rides better than new.  The tires are newer radial white wall tires and are complimented by a set of factory wire wheel covers.  One of the covers has a few scuffs, but only visible when scrutinizing the wheel covers.

Drivetrain:

The engine is Ford 302-2V that replaced the factory original 289-2V.  The original 289-2V is still in our possession and can be included in the sale.  The 289-2V is a good running engine and was only replaced due to low oil pressure.  The 302-2V engine runs and drives amazing.  All of the correct decals and accessories adorn the engine including the air cleaner, heat tube and exhaust cover.  A spare Cobra/ Mustang oval air cleaner and valve covers are included in the sale. 

The factory C4 transmission was professionally rebuilt.  This vehicle is in fantastic condition mechanically and can be reliably driven anywhere.

There are countless hours involved in this restoration as well as a considerable amount of money.  The restoration cost exceeds the asking price of this vehicle. 

I have tried to describe this vehicle with honesty and to the best of my ability.  I would encourage anyone interested in the vehicle to contact me with any questions or to inspect the vehicle for yourself prior to bidding on it.  I am requiring a $500 deposit to my PayPal account or by cashiers check within 72 hours of winning the auction and full payment in the form of a money transfer, cashiers check or cash within 10 days of the auction closing.  Transporting and transportation costs of the vehicle is the responsibility of the winner of the auction.  This also goes for international bidders.  The vehicle will be paid for prior to the winning bidder taking possession.
