1971 Mustang Fastback
I've owned this car for the last 14 years. It has approx. 130k miles on odometer. I repainted the car Viper Blue about 7 years ago. It has a Mach I dual snorkel hood. New front end components recently installed. Interior needs completion but has Summit Race bucket seats w/ 5 pt harnesses, Hurst Quarter stick shifter and Autometer monster tach w/shift light. It rolls on Crager Drag lite wheels with drag radials out back.
This car is strip ready and can also be driven on the street which I do. The motor is a freshly built 408 ci Windsor which cost me 9k to build. It features an Eagle Rotating assembly, SRP Forged pistons, 11.7 to 1 compression, roller cam, roller rockers, stud girdle, Edelbrock Victor JR. aluminum heads which were ported along with the single plane aluminum intake. An AED built 850 HO feeds the fuel. I have a complete MSD digital 6 ignition, billet distributor, and MSD coil. 1 3/4 long tube headers have been thermal coated and feed into 3'' exhaust with an X-pipe and Flowmaster mufflers. The motor makes approx. 600+hp. and will run on a mix of pump and race fuel.
The power is fed into a built C6 automatic trans. that has a 10'' converter that stalls at 4000 rpm. A Ford 9'' rear with 4.10 gears and locker round out the drive train.
Car has an electric fuel system. A Mallory Comp 110 pump feeds fuel through 1/2'' line all the way to the carb. I have welded in subframe connectors, traction bars, and Competition Engineering drag shocks. Car also has a line lock and driveshaft safety loop installed.
Car drives great and is very streetable. Runs and sounds awesome. Selling because I don't have time to enjoy it. Hope you do.
