YOU ARE BIDDING ON A 1999 HONDA CBR900RR with 20,910 miles
This bike comes with an Illinois Salvage Title which means it is rebuildable. I bought this bike at an insurance auction and I have the title in my company name. If you live in the state of Illinois you can NOT buy this bike and get it licensed unless you have a rebuilders/recyclers license. You can only use the bike for parts, track or stunt unless you have one of the previous mentioned licenses. All other states should check with their local and state laws. I am not responsible for you buying this bike and not being able to license it. You need to check local laws yourself. I am only familiar with Illinois laws.
Illinois buyers will also have to pay sales tax of 6.25%
When I bought this bike and got it back to the shop I realized it was in to good of shape to tear down and part out. So I replaced a few parts and zip tied a few pieces of plastic and it turned into a pretty descent bike. See below for complete condition of bike.
ACCESSORIES 1) Jardine - RT ONE bolt on stainless steel pipe 2) Pit-Eck - smoke black windscreen 3) Flush Mount Turn Signals in front 4) Short Stalk Turn Signals in rear 5) Aluminum Bar ends
TIRES Rear - Dunlop Sportmax Qualifier 190/50 ZR17 - 75-85% left on it Front - Dunlop Sportmax Qualifier 130/70 ZR16 - 75-85% left on it
FAIRINGS - Bike has been repainted Red and Black. I would give the paint job an 8 out of 10. It actually looks pretty good.
Front Fairing - It is cracked and zip tied back together on the left side by the headlight and up by the mirror. I also found a few scratches and scuffs and rock chips. But the zip tied areas are the most noticable.
Front Fender - Looks great
Left Mid Fairing - cracked and zip tied around mount hole on the rear of it. I also found some scratches and scuffs on it
Left Lower Fairing - I found a lot of scratches and scuffs running down the side of it
Tail Plastic - cracked and scratched on the left side. I found a small chunk of plastic missing on the bottom lip right behind the turn signal. You can't see the missing section unless you stick your head up under the tail section. I just wanted to be up front about it. The right side and the key hole plastic look great.
Right Mid Fairing - there is a small crack by the rear mounting hole, but it's hard to see and it still mounts up firmly. I found a few scratches and scuffs on this fairing as well
Right Lower Fairing - Other than a few scratches and scuffs the mount hole right under the footpeg is cracked. The fairing still mounts up firmly. I have pictures of the crack around the mount hole if you want to see them email me your email address.
Gas Tank - the right side looks perfect. The left side has a pretty good size dent in it. I also found some small dents on the front lip
Windscreen - This is a new windscreen from PIT-ECK that I bought brand new for the bike
Mirrors - Left mirror - has some scratches on the back and the bracket is rashed up Right mirror - looks great
Upper Fairing Stay - the right side was slightly bent down so we had to do some tweaking to get everything lined back up. It's not perfect but it looks and works great.
Headlight - the low beams work great. But both high beams are burn out. I have pictures of the headlight on if you want to see them you can email me your email address.
SEATS - Front - minor scuff marks on it. No rips or tears Rear - very small tear on the left side. You can't see it unless you are right on the bike
EXHAUST - This Jardine pipe sounded great. It gave the bike a low rumble more than a loud scream. It has a pretty good size dent on the top of it right under the peg. I also found scratches all the way down the side of it. I know it sounds crazy but the pipe really doesn't look that bad.
REAR SETS - All four pegs look great with just normal scratches - no rash or bends
ENGINE - The bike fired right up when we got it which is part of the reason why we put the bike back together. For a 1999 model twenty thousand miles really isn't that bad. My bike is a 2001 and it's got over twenty five thousand miles on it. When I test drove the bike it ran GREAT. It shifted great and ran smooth with no dead spots or hard shifting. The left engine case is scratched up and I almost painted it but it's not that bad and there are no cracks or leaks of any kind.
FRAME - I have pictures of the title if you want to see them you can email me your email address. I found a few scuff marks on the left side right behind the left clip on towards the front. It's not rash and they are not deep and you would probably never notice them. But I wanted to be up front about them. I have pictures of them but Ebay will only allow 24 pictures so I ran out of room. Send me your email if you want to see them.
CHAIN - This a 525 DiD chain. I'm not sure of the sprockets but the chain is still in the "NEW" section on the chain adjusters. So there is still plenty of life left on it.
BRAKES - The front brakes look to have about 30-40% left on them. The rear brakes look like they might have about 45-55% left on them
WHEELS - Front Wheel - normal wear and tear with some minor scratches and rock chips. Bike rolled straight and didn't wobble while riding Rear Wheel - I found a few areas of curb rash on it and the normal scratches and scuffs.
PAYMENT - I would prefer cash in person when you are picking it up. I will accept wire transfers as well. But no Paypal!
SHIPPING - I have shipped bikes in the past and it cost me about $600 to ship a bike from Quincy IL. to Dallas Tx. That's using Allied Vans. I liked using them because they crated the bike and I didn't have to drain any of the fluids. I use Bax Global to ship my motors and I could probably use them to ship a bike as well. But I'm not sure of the crating and fluid requirements. Feel free to email me with your address and I can get you a shipping quote.
I would prefer local pick up. Or we could even arrange a meeting half way. I am willing to work with the buyer as much as possible on pick up.
I have tons of pictures so feel free to email me with your email address and let me know if there is something specific you would like to see. Please make sure you ask any questions before you bid and please don't bid unless you have the funds to pay for the bike.
