This is a 1986 LT230. I bought this quad in pieces a few years ago and rebuilt it from the ground up. I rebuilt the engine and bored it out to 260cc. All new bearings, gaskets and seals were installed in the engine. I also had the crankshaft rebuilt. I put a Hot Cams stage one cam in it. The cylinder sleeve and piston was made by L.A. Sleeve. The clutch had new plates installed in it and the clutch hub and basket looked good when I had it apart. I also put new valves in the head and had the valve seats cut by a local machine shop. The swing arm bearings were replaced with new and new bearings were installed in the rear axle carrier. The carrier was also drilled and tapped for a grease fitting so the axle bearings could be greased. The chain and sprockets are new. The front wheel bearings were replaced with new. All of the brake calipers were rebuilt and new brake pads were installed. The front master cylinder was also rebuilt and new braided stainless front brake lines were installed. I replaced the front shocks with a good used set because they were leaking. The rear tires were new when I got this quad finished and the front tires were almost new when I took them off of one of my other quads. I also got new plastic and decals. I have an extra set of rear paddle tires and an extra set of front rims that will come with the quad. The handlebars are new and they are Fly Racing. The stock carb is on it right now but, I do have a bigger carb to put on it. It is a lot fast with the bigger carb on it but, I just didn't take the time to fine tune it. This quad is awesome for trail ridding, beginner racers or tooling around home. I am selling it because I don't have the time to ride it anymore and I bought a LTR450 to race.
