1979 Yamaha RD 400 Daytona Special - in good shape & great working order, this bike was very good taken care of, it runs great & is super comfortable to ride, it is in great shape inside & out, the 2-Stroke Engine has lots of power & fires right up, the 6 speed transmission shifts the great, has a single K&N Filter, the gauges work, both brakes are disk brake & work great, it has a new rear tire but it will need a front one soon, the paint job in the bike could be a little better as it does not look that professional to me plus it has some nicks, dings & scratches from use. There is no rust or other dameges.

Everything is functional and the bike can be driven daily, it is a nice collectors bike & this year the bike turned 30 years old so I believe the bike gets the Blue Antique License Plate for it. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a nice RD400, you should know 1979 was the last year of the 2-Stroke Yamaha RD Bikes in the US, this one has all matching numbers on the VIN & Engine so it can be restored to museum quality or it can be used daily as it is, either way a very rare bike, great to talk about & fun to ride. it includes everything you see in the pictures.
