Up for your consideration today is a 1982 Yamaha XV 920 Virago.
I purchased this bike about a year ago for my dad so that he could ride along with me. Unfortunetly, at 72 he just feels more comfortable with more than 2 wheels on the ground.
This bike has 41858 actual miles. It is in very good condition, the tank has one small dent on the left side just above the Yamaha emblem ( photographed) about the size of a half dollar. Fenders, and covers are all dent free. The chrome is spotless. There are some light scratches in the paint but nothing deep or to bare metal. Just light scratches as would be expected on a 27 year old motorcycle with its original paint. The tires are in good condition with alot of miles left on them, and no weather checking. Mechanically the bike is in excellent condition and the engine runs very smooth.
The gauges work perfect as do all the lights. The rear master cylinder was replaced b4 I owned the bike and the previous owner said that the brake icon on the computer has been on since then. This is really not an issue as it in no way effects the way the bike runs . It is just there and I wanted to be up front about it. The starter also seems noisy to me but it is brand new. Some people have said that this could be stopped by shimming the starter. I have been riding the bike often this summer and it has not let me down. It's just noisy. The windshield is in excellent condition and can be easily removed if you desire to. The seat is in perfect condition. The exhaust is original and in very good shape.
If you have any questions or would like to make a buy it now offer please contact me. If you would like to speak to me on the phone e-mail me your number and I will get back to you as quickly as I can.
As for payment. At the auctions end I will require a $100 down payment through paypal. The remainder will be paid in full when the bike is picked up.
The buyer is responsible for shipping arrangements or local pickup. I will help all I can but I have never sold a bike on ebay before.
This is a used bike therefore there are no warranties written or implied. Being sold as is. But believe me you won't be dissapointed.
Thank you.
