XS "Blackout"
by Primitive Cycle in Tuscaloosa, AL
You are
looking at our latest XS.This is a bike
that draws attention.Good, bad and
WTF?s. Understand, that this bike is not
for everybody. This is a barebones,
hardcore bike that has a sinister look but will bring you big ass grins when
gettin it down the road.
This has a
traditional style that will never get old. This rigid has mid controls to keep your feet under you which lets your
legs take some of the shock off your lower spine and the bars/risers combo
keeps the grips close to shoulder level with palms out which give a better
feeling of control.
The XS650
engine is a parallel twin that bares a resemblance to the Triumph twin but
without the steep price and all the parts are readily available. These are
proven, reliable engines but with sh*@@y starter motors. It?s a good thing these engines came with
kick start as well. The electric starting
motor works about half of the time but it will eventually engage and fire the
engine up. The engine fires up 1st
kick most of the time hot or cold.
This is a
barebones chop with a single filament headlight, no brake light? only tail
light (brake switches add more clutter) and no turn signals. Use your f ing
LT hand to let the world know what your intentions are? signal LT, RT, STOP !No front brake, rear drum only. Hey, it does
have new brake shoes!
This is
built solid! This is not a ?ride,
wrench, repeat? bike!As long as you
stay on top of your regular maintenance & ride the sumb*tch , you will be a
happy owner. It will up to you as to how safe it is on the streets. This is NOT
a beginner bike so don?t bother trying to learn how to ride on this death trap
unless you like the thought of ending up as a hood ornament.
There is not
a title on this bike so you need to go through a title service. We use ITS
(International Title Service in Las Vegas, NV).Google it and find out what you would need to do in order to be legit.
We can get one but it would add about 350 to the price which is fine but we
would rather be turning wrenches than doing paper work. Why not do the title
work yourself and save a few bucks.
