1985 YAMAHA VIRAGO XV700
NO RESERVE
You are looking at a 1985 Yamaha Virago XV700 with only 15,481. I love these bikes. I owne three, one of which I've converted into a chopper. I am selling them because I am moving and will no longer have the room. This is the perfect beginner bike, commuter bike, or gas saving vehicle.
She runs beautifully with plenty of power. She averages about 45-50 miles per gallon.
The PROS- There is a set of MAC pipes. It has a set of new platinum plugs. The entire electric system was cleaned and all connections were greased with electric grease. Throttle, choke, and clutch cable were lubed. The engine was degunked and new oil and filter were added. The final gear oil was replaced. Brakes were bleed. The valve adjustment was just done. As you can tell a full tune up was done. I will include a Clymer repair manual. I will also include a set of new carb repack kits. Also I have a clear title on hand.
The CONS- The tank has dings on both sides and is scratched throughout (see pics). The front carb sputters sometimes when you first start the bike. Once you start driving she runs smooth and has plenty of power. The carbs may need to be repacked since you have to open the throttle a little in order to start her. If you open the throttle she fires right up and stays on without the throttle being open. It may just need adjusting, or just to use it as I only used her for maybe 100 miles. The speedometer works, but the milage gauge doesn't. As you can see in the pics the seat has tears. There is road rash on the master cylinder, right gauge, and right rear turn signal. The right rear turn signal stem is broken. Over all this is a great running bike with mainly just cosmetic damages.
The bike runs strong and smooth. She looks a little rough, but is mechanically sound. I know these bikes very well and have personally gone over this bike. She sounds great with the pipes. She will make a great bike. All you will have to do is turn the key and be on your way. Please see all pics as I have taken many, please look closely at the damage.
