This is a 2 owner machine purchased in 1990 with 7000 miles and it has been loved and pampered.I own 8 other bikes and this has always been one I thought I would never sell....This girl has always recieved full system flushes every 2 years regardless of milage. She goes out on at least 1 100 mile run every year and is ridden locally or trailered to shows..All aluminum is polished and if I could get a pic of the bottom of the exhaust for you I would....as you can see this bike has been maintained in a near perfect condition.Tires are matching/balanced Metzler..gas filter is purolator stainless microscreen with changeable cartridge..air filter is K&N battery replaced every two years with this one new in march...also she was alittle sluggish this season so the carbs were pulled and one diaphragm was sloppy and one had a pinhole in it so they were all replaced with full piston assemblies(100.00) each....I will not carry on about her qualities nor her performance. If you know these bikes as I do you can quote specs and artical forever...If you don't know these bikes go to your local dealer and buy a VTX or something cause I really don't want you on my bike.You'll be happy and think your bike is wonderful and fast.
Now into every life a little rain must fall...There are 2 scratches in the tank that have been there since 1990 when this bike was purchased with 7000 miles on it..there are also some blemishes in the clear from the prior owner putting a tarp over it...
These while minor and mostly polished out are still visible in person at an angle....(yes I'm anal) I have thought about repaint but can't bring myself to and just buff and wax untill the feeling passes..also there are 2 small cracks in the left side cover.
She has been a long and trusted companion that has brought me much joy ,but times and circumstances change and our time to part is here.Please treat treat her as the gem she is and she will never cease to amaze you in any weather or road condition.
PLEASE do not ask about oil mods,fork braces and exploding front wheels..or second gear issues...This bike is 24 yrs old and in excellent condition but not new and it has no mechanical issues and all cosmetics have been addressed and pictured
