Why are your transmissions priced so much better than local shops?

That's simple really - volume. At ATS we rebuild thousands of transmissions each year, so we buy and stock parts in large quantities. This means we have the same (or better) high quality parts, but at a significant discount, which we pass on to our customers through our great pricing. We also do not believe in gouging our customers for services and parts that they do not need. We offer you a great transmission at a great price, it?s that simple!

What is a transmission core?

A transmission core is your original transmission, which you must send to ATS to disassemble, clean and rebuild. A core charge is the temporary deposit charged to customers, which is refunded once the serviceable transmission unit is received and inspected. The transmission core charge can vary depending on the transmission and application. The core deposit is not included in the transmission price, and must be paid for at the time of purchase before any transmission is shipped!

How do I get my core deposit back?

When your core arrives at our facility (within 30 days of your receipt), it is cleaned and inspected before being logged in. Customer core refunds are generally processed within 3-4 weeks of receipt & inspection. Transmission unit cores that are disassembled or that have broken cases, missing or damaged bell housings or hard parts that are not in SERVICEABLE condition will not pass inspection ? and therefore partial or no core money will be refunded. After all you wouldn?t want a questionable part being installed into your newly remanufactured transmission. The torque converter must also be included with your transmission core for a core refund to be given. Approximately 93% of all cores returned to us are in serviceable condition and the full refund is given.

What are Dynometers and what is Dyno Testing?

All ATS automatic transmission units are Dyno tested to insure quality performance.

The Dyno Testing procedure involves placing your newly remanufactured transmission unit onto a Dynometer and testing pressures, shift positions and operation performance. Dynometers are state-of-the-art machines that simulate the conditions they will be under once installed in your vehicle. Dyno testing catches nearly 96% of all transmission failures PRIOR to the customer receiving the unit.

Core Information

The transmission core charge can vary depending on the transmission and application.

The core charge is IN ADDITION to the price of the transmission listed in this ad. We must receive your core back at our facility (within 30 days from the date received). We cannot accept transmissions for a full refund that are disassembled or that have a broken case or non serviceable hard parts (typically more than 50% of the core value in damage).

These cores will not be refunded under any circumstance. This is a very rare event (less than 7%), but we would like to be upfront about this. There are other sellers on Ebay that are unscrupulous that will attempt to charge you back for a core that is rebuildable in order to increase their profit margin. We do not do this, but please be aware of others that may. Please do not send back cores that are in the above condition.

Warranty Information

All items come with a 12 month 12000 mile warranty. This warranty covers the part only. ATS will not pay for any labor, shipping, or other fees associated with the failure of any product, this includes product that may be defective on initial install. Regardless of failure reason!! Labor and shipping charges are reimbursable if one of our extended warranties are purchased.

Shipping Information

Although we strive to keep each and every product in stock at our warehouses, sometimes we cannot fulfill every request. At times orders may have to be custom built and delivery times may vary. Normal delivery times for items IN STOCK is 7-10 BUSINESS DAYS. Custom built orders may take 15-20 BUSINESS DAYS FOR DELIVERY!!

Again, we strive to keep inventory on hand, but because of the vast number of items we supply, we cannot at all times. Shipping costs are $155.00 Each Way

ALL ITEMS MUST BE SHIPPED TO A BUSINESS ADDRESS or additional fees will be charged ($70 Residential Delivery Fee).
