1968 Ford Mustang Fastback C-Code Project
Up for auction is a 1968 Mustang Fastback Project C-Code unfinished project. I am selling this car because I am downsizing my collection.
Engine: 289 2bbl with a mild cam and headers.
This is a list of what has been done to the car to date:
- Paint- the new paint job was done approx. 4 months ago original Sunlit Gold basecoat and three coats of clear.
- new fuel pump, fuel lines, gas tank
- new hood
- new rear deck lid
- new front and rear valance
- new driver door
- new driver's side fender
- new brakes all around (including lines)
- new master cylinder
- tune-up
- new carpet
- new reupholstery on front bucket seats
- new emblems(hood &trunk)
- new trim on deck lid
It is pretty much a rust free car with the exception of the rear passenger floor pan where I got short-changed by the body shop. The transmission has a leak coming from the oil pan (probably just a gasket) I will include another (good) C4 transmission just in case.
The lights, wipers, heater, interior lights, and radio turn on. I have decided to sell this car "as-is" rather than complete it because I am overwhelmed with too many projects and limited storage.
I am calling this a "project" car because it is nearly completed but still needs a few things done. (i.e. door handles, glass needs to be installed into doors correctly, weather stripping, headliner, emblems, rust on rear pass. floor. exhaust, etc.) I do have a clean title on hand which is rare for a car this old. In the state of CT we are a nontitiled state.
